The Ovarian Cancer Institute is totally dependent upon contributions to support its critical research and education programs. Our fund raising goal for the fiscal year is 1 million dollars. Less than 20% of this amount supports administrative cost. The remaining 80% underwrites the research and the capital equipment used in our research.

Each tissue sample is examined on a microchip that costs $1,000. By the end of the current year, we hope to have conducted more than 200 tissue and serum sample studies. The Institute is currently positioning itself to apply for federal funding which will help secure our future for the long term. However, these earlyyears are critical as we seek contributions from private sources, be they individuals, foundations or corporations.
